Egypt Community Church, established in 1734, a small, independent, evangelical congregation is seeking a part-time youth pastor - assistant pastor.

Qualifications:
The applicant must:
>be an evangelical believer who professes Jesus Christ is Lord, believes God  raised Him from the dead, believes in the infallibility of the Scriptures and whose lifestyle and reputation are consistent with Biblical guidelines for Christian living. Please review our Statement of Faith.
>have an attitude that demonstrates a spirit of humility and cooperation.
>has ability and some experience teaching God’s Word and working with teens.
>be able to devote an average of 10-15 hours per week [includes study time].
>Have or apply for current child abuse and criminal background checks.

It is preferred that the applicant:
>has the ability to help lead contemporary Christian worship in the youth  meetings.
>holds at least a bachelor’s degree in Bible and/or youth ministry or is within a  year of finishing a degree of that nature.
>be either already married or engaged to a Christian woman who is in favor of 
the applicant serving in this position. 
Note: Ordination is not required but is a plus. You may be occasionally asked to officiate at funerals at additional compensation.

Expectations:
>Work with, and under the direction of, the senior pastor.
>To help establish and direct a vibrant, meaningful youth ministry that provides 
our youth with tools for spiritual growth to help them become effective disciples 
of Christ.
>Maintain regular communication with the senior pastor, staff and parents
>Have other employment to provide for his living needs that does not conflict 
  with the schedule of this youth ministry.

Specific Responsibilities:
1.Plan and lead weekly youth meetings at the church campus including worship, Bible study and fun/sports activities. The church covers applicable expenses.
2.Assist the senior pastor during regular worship services & substitute for him 
when needed.
3.Work with current youth Sunday school teacher during regular Sunday School 
hour.
4.Prepare brief monthly reports for Consistory meetings [2nd Tuesday at 7pm,  Sept-June].
5.Plan and lead various youth retreats, mission/outreach opportunities and 
special events.

Compensation:
Provisional part-time salary of $10,500 to start; $1,000 raise after satisfactory six months. Annual increases as the budget allows. Two paid weeks off per year.
