As we enter the month of June, we naturally think of the beginning of summer, warm weather, and…. VACATION! Thinking of vacations, I had to share this picture I took from the balcony of our room when Martha and I went to Aruba a few years ago. When I think of the beautiful islands of the Caribbean that we have visited, there’s a word that always comes to my mind…..Paradise!
The sad thing about vacations in paradise
is that they have to come to an end! Then
we go back to our reality, our daily routine,
our “normal” life.
As beautiful as Aruba is, God’s Word tells
us that the Paradise of Heaven far exceeds
anything we can find on earth. And for those
of us who are Christ followers, THAT will be
our new reality, our new daily routine, our
new “normal” life….. for eternity!
We won’t have to “go home” because once
we arrive there, WE ARE HOME! And it’s all
because God loved us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ the Lord, to die for our sins and rise again so that we can be forgiven, become His disciples, and then go into the world and make more disciples. When the final trumpet blows, we will go to a paradise like nothing else on earth. But God gives us a little taste of paradise here, to make us hunger for His Paradise, there. So let’s take as many with us as we can, to TRUE PARADISE!
