The Splendor of Fall!
Ah, the splendor of fall, with its quilt of colors draped across the landscape, is always a wonder to behold! The beauty of nature in this process of transfiguration every year reminds us of the creativity of the creator. What we are witnessing this time of year, if you remember your science class, is the result of the flow of sap being cut off from the roots of the deciduous trees to the trunk, branches and leaves above ground. Eventually the brilliantly colored leaves fade to brown and fall off, hence the seasonal term “fall.” A direct correlation can be drawn to the life of human beings and to the nations of history. The color of our hair changes to gray and silver and, for many of us, falls off just like the leaves. The same is true of nations. When the flow of life giving sap of founding beliefs and moral principles is cut off from the roots of a nation to its many branches, the nation, like a tree, has a flurry of color, but then it turns brown and ugly, because it is dying. If that sap of belief and principle is not allowed to once again flow to the branches, that nation will die. Our nation will die. On November 8th our country will choose our future direction. I urge all Christians vote their Biblical, God honoring conscience. God will remove His blessing if the majority of the people of this nation do not obey His commands to “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s” (Matthew 20:21) and to do our civic duty(1 Peter 2:12-17) by voting our Christian conscience. God is sovereign and will remain so regardless of who wins or loses this election, but there are consequences for our actions or lack of actions. Please get out and vote and encourage your Christian brothers and sisters to vote.

“If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray,
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins
and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
